Better card moving#173

I want to move a card to another collection, but it is difficult and slow to move it around especially when the collection is far away.

I am pleased to learn I am not the only person experiencing this issue, and I am doubly pleased that Toby appears to be working on the problem. I have used at least a half dozen different apps to manage my bookmarks. Toby is the nearest to perfect for me as someone who has a strong preference for visual arrangements on cards, tiles, kanban boards, and the like. My love for Toby drops significantly whenever I need to move a card from one collection to another. I have not experienced such difficulty with any other app that similarly arranges data in this manner. I hope this glitch in an otherwise well-conceived app that enhances my daily productivity will be resolved soon.

Upon closer inspection, however, I see that the status on this issue was changed to “in progress” 3 years ago. Did Toby address this problem? What changes were made and when? I still encounter substantial difficulty moving cards around. This morning, for example, I tried to move one card from a collection that was 4 levels down to the top level. It is by no means easy to do. The app lags, behaves as if it does not recognize what I am trying to do, and eventually the card disappears from the grasping hand and returns to its original location. Could I/we get an update?
